The Community on Payment Innovation’s webinar series this year will begin with a discussion on some of the initiatives that both private and public payers are implementing to help advance payment reform.  Traditional fee-for-service payments continue to dominate the method by which physicians are paid today.  The healthcare community looks to re-align incentives by creating innovative payment models that begin to reward physicians based on quality.  In fact, physicians are reporting that payers have already approached them about participation in innovative care delivery and payment concepts such as ACOs, performance-based contracting and bundled or global payments.
